Figure 11. Dissolved oxygen and snow and ice cover in stratified random sampling of backwaters in Pools 4, 8, and 13 in winter (January-February). From 1994 through 2001, the trend in oxygen concentration generally mirrored snow and ice cover (i.e., increased when the depth of snow and ice decreased).
