Study site locations: Nevada - Carson River - Mercury concentrations in tree swallow eggs

Mercury concentrations in tree swallow eggs were extremely high and hatchability was reduced to approximately 70% at historic gold and silver mine processing areas along the Carson river, NV.  At most locations in the U.S., mercury concentrations in eggs was generally <0.5 mg/g dry wt. (dw).
