Education:
2009 B.S. Biology University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, minor in Chemistry.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
My primary focus is to provide technical assistance to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission’s sea lamprey control program in the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain.  This involves assisting in the development of new and improved formulations of the lampricides TFM and Bayluscide, developing more efficient and cost-effective application techniques of lampricide formulations to ensure safe yet effective sea lamprey control, and assisting with the assessment of the toxicological risk of the lampricides to non-target species of concern.    

Research Interests:

• Aquatic toxicology
• Aquatic invasive species control

Active Projects:

• Development of a glucuronyl transferase assay for the lampricide TFM.
• In situ determination of Age-0 lake sturgeon mortality from exposure to TFM.
• Evaluation of the acute toxicity of TFM to the snuffbox mussel.
• In situ determination of Age 0 mudpuppy mortality from exposure to TFM.
• In situ determination of stonecat mortality from exposure to TFM.
