Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

• Develop novel techniques, tools and strategies to improve and promote the health and survival of aquatic organisms for conservation, restoration and public fisheries.
• Provide approaches to contain, reduce and eliminate populations of invasive species and restore habitats and native species.
• Develop and test new approaches to control invasive species with emphasis on biological, chemical, ecological, genetic and molecular methods that reduces impact on landscape and regional scales.

Research Interests:

• Aquatic species biology
• Invasive species control
• Invertebrate physiology

Active Projects: 

• Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Pseudomonas fluorescens Strain CL145A to Control Dreissenid Mussels
• Determination of filtering characteristics and particulate size selection between two species of unionid and zebra mussels
• Development of Chemical Tools to Control Asian Carps and Dreissenid mussels
